Athens Stock Exchange movers — 05/11/2026

35 stocks rose and 77 fell; the General Index slipped 1.92%. The biggest fallers came from Oil & Gas Refining & Marketing (MOH, ELPE).

The session in brief

updated 19:31

The General Index closed at 2611.41, down −1.92% (−51.04 points), with 35 stocks rising, 77 falling and 16 unchanged. The larger companies' median move was −0.66%. Coca-Cola HBC's −14.12% fall weighed heavily on the market because of its large weight in the index. The drop reportedly followed a Russian newspaper report about a claim by Bochkari, a beer and soft-drink maker. Heavy losses in the refiners, Motor Oil (−4.64%) and HelleniQ Energy (−4.64%), and in selected industrial stocks added to the pressure. The banking sector showed notable resilience, and Eurobank rose 2.28%. Energy was the weakest sector with a median of −3%, followed by Technology at −1.32% and Healthcare at −1.21%. Utilities (+0.44%) and Basic Materials (+0.39%) were the only sectors higher. Frigoglass fell −7.39% and Foodlink −4.31%, while Daios Plastics rose 10% and Attica gained 4.55%. The market was also described as absorbing profit-taking and position adjustments.
